The Louis Poulsen PH 5 Lamp has been hanging over fine dining and office tables since 1958. The Poulsen PH 5 Lamp gets its name from the diameter of its top shade: 5 refers to 5 dm=50 cm. Poul Henningsen designed the Poulsen PH 5 with three reflecting shades, a cone and two smaller colored shades that improve the PH 5 light’s color-rendering properties.

The Poulsen PH 50 celebrates 50 years of the PH 5 Lamp's glare-free illumination. Louis Poulsen PH 50 Lamp captures the spirit of the four-shade design but spices up the classic luminaire with five new color options: Chili Red, Mint Blue, Wasabi Green, Coconut White and Olive Black. The PH 50’s vibrant flair comes not only from the five color options but also from its new lustrous finish.
