The creation of the Addition Sofa series started in the early 1930s for the New Carlsberg Foundation offices in Copenhagen. Klint continued to work on the design and showed the final Addition Sofa at the 1933 Copenhagen Cabinetmakers’ Guild Exhibition.

The series has clean seams around the seat and back and rhomboid panels, held in place with leather-covered buttons that open with pressure to stop the leather from stretching too much.
